VAKTEN and HJÄRTA: visibility for existing systems

Many systems are functioning. And yet, no one sees them.

The problem does not start at the gate

In large inventories, there are hundreds of doors, gates, hold-open devices, refrigerated areas and technical closures. Each system has its own status, its own maintenance history and often its own inspection log. Operators and technical services spend many days each month tracking inspections, troubleshooting, identifying defects and walking through buildings to answer simple questions: Is this gate closed? Has this door been triggered? Is the refrigerated area still within specifications?

The practical question

Time and again, the same question came from industry: Is there not an easier way? Not as an overloaded IoT cloud. Not as a closed-off manufacturer system. Not as a mysterious data interface that no one can clearly explain. But as simple, robust logic: a state is created in the field. This state is recorded. And then it becomes visible.

What VAKTEN is

VAKTEN is the interface and evaluation layer of VulcanGuard. Here, doors, gates, hold-open systems, cooling points and other technical units are created, monitored and clearly displayed. VAKTEN shows states, detects changes, counts events, visualizes offline states and helps to create a comprehensive overview from numerous individual systems. It is not data noise. It is a quiet control and overview layer for those in charge.

Why HJÄRTA is needed

For VAKTEN to understand, it needs signals from the real world. That is precisely what HJÄRTA provides. HJÄRTA sits in the field. It detects simple technical states: contact open or closed, signal active or inactive, measured value present or outside a defined range. HJÄRTA is not a camera system, not a security service and not a control room. It does not evaluate the system, does not interfere with safety functions and makes visible what was previously hidden. For simple sensor points, HJÄRTA can often be integrated within 10 to 60 minutes – without interfering with existing safety functions.

No magic. No black box.

Its strength lies precisely in its simplicity. Potential-free contacts, sensors and simple signals are captured, transmitted to VAKTEN and transformed into an easily understandable format. This transforms a silent contact into a readable status. A scattered inventory becomes a clear overview. Assumption becomes clarity.

How it became a product

The first HJÄRTA devices were not ordered. They were conceived, programmed and built by hand because the practical question had remained unanswered for too long. Today, a controlled initial production run is being developed. The prototypes demonstrate the viability of the principle. The production units are manufactured by electronics companies in Germany. VulcanGuard is not building a vision on spec, but rather an answer to problems that operators have long been familiar with.

The solution

VAKTEN thinks. HJÄRTA sees. Together, they make technical conditions visible without overloading existing systems. This creates a tool for operators, installers, manufacturers and technical service providers that makes existing systems more understandable, maintainable and quieter. Denn VulcanGuard nimmt ernst, was schon existiert.
